✅ BEFORE YOU COME — CAPTAIN CHECKLIST

For All SGB Tournament, please make sure your team has:

☐ LIGHT + DARK jerseys available

☐ Every player is wearing their registered jersey number

☐ Numbers are permanent and clearly visible — no tape, marker, stickers, or handwritten numbers

☐ Jerseys are clearly recognizable as the same team

☐ Shorts are not visually confusing (See Examples)

For All SGB College League (including Northern + Southern), you also need to check

☐ Shorts are reasonably consistent within the team, no mix-up for white and black shorts across the team! (See Examples)

For All SGB College Final (including Northern + Southern), you also need to check

☐ Jerseys are identical or substaintially identical (See Examples)

☐ Both Front and Black numbers

🚦 GAME-DAY JERSEY FLOW

1️⃣ SOMETHING DOESN’T LOOK RIGHT?  — check with the Stats Table first.

2️⃣ CAN YOUR TEAM FIX IT? YES → Change into the correct jersey / compliant shorts

3️⃣ CAN’T FIX IT WITH YOUR OWN JERSEYS?

• Ask SGB about an Emergency Jersey.

• Emergency jerseys are limited and first come, first served.

💵 WHEN DOES A FEE APPLY? Think of the fee as the last step — not the first step.

• JERSEY VIOLATION: 

  • $50 / affected player / game

  • Maximum $100 / player / tournament

• SGB EMERGENCY JERSEY

  • $100 / team / tournament

  • If the paid Emergency Jersey Program resolves the same jersey problem: We do NOT stack the $50 violation fee + $100 rental.

⚠️ IF WE DISCOVER THE WRONG NUMBER AFTER PLAY STARTS

Player is already playing

→ Applicable NCAA Administrative Technical is administered

→ Opponent receives 2 free throws

→ SGB jersey fee / Emergency Jersey procedure is handled separately.

⏱️ PLEASE DON'T DELAY THE GAME

• ONE PLAYER HAS A PROBLEM - Game starts on time. The affected player waits until the jersey issue is fixed.

• WHOLE TEAM HAS A PROBLEM

  • Fix / change jerseys ASAP.

  • If your team's uniform issue delays the scheduled start or resumption:

  • Opponent receives 1 administrative point per COMPLETE minute of team-caused delay.
