EVENT TITLE: 2026 She Got Buckets North America Asian Women’s Basketball Tournament

DATE: OCTOBER 3-4, 2026

TIME: SAT (9AM - 7PM EST); SUN (9AM - 4PM EST), Time TBD

DIVISIONS: ELITE and RISING STAR

CASH PRIZE 🔥: $1000 for ELITE CHAMPION and $500 for RISING STAR CHAMPION

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION

REGULAR TEAM REGISTRATION: November 26th, 2025

• Early Bird Registration Fee: $650; Regular Registration Fee: $750

• Early Bird Coupon Code: EB2026ELITE100 (for Elite) and EB2026RS100 (for Rising Star)

  • Early Bird ends on July 18, 11:59PM ET

• 2 Divisions: Elite and Rising Star

• Notes to registration Fee: We will also charge a $100 deposit at your registration, the deposit will be return by December 20, 2025.

• This year, we are excited to collaborate with CROWNE PLAZA® | SUFFERN-MAHWAH. We were able to secured a $189/room discount rate for the tournament. Below are the booking links.

  • Important Note regarding the booking link: When Players click on the link they will need to change the arrival and departure dates, once they do that for ( October 2nd- 4th) the negotiated rate will appear. If guests are trying to book for say October 1st the rate will not appear, let us know if you think you may have earlier arrivals and we can add some rooms in.

WHAT TO EAT ON GAME DAY?

• We are working with local restaurants for some good recommendation. 

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY (Click Below to See Details)

• Each player must be at least 25% Asian (i.e., at least one grandparent must be 100% Asian).

• For eligibility concerns, you may email info@shegotbuckets.org anonymously with jersey number + team name before 1PM on Saturday (Day 1 of the tournament)

KEY DEADLINES

• July 18, 2026: Early Bird Registration Deadline (11:59PM EST)

• August 15, 2026: Regular Registration Deadline (11:59PM EST)

• August 22, 2026 8PM EST: Tournament Group Draw & Zoom Q&A (Recommend; Optional Participation)

• August 22, 2026 : SGB will release Participated Team, Event Schedule, Restaurants information

• September 26, 2026: Player Waiver Deadline; Last chance to adjust your Roster

• October 3, 2026: TOURNAMENT DAY!

• October 10, 2026: SGB will return Team deposit through Stripe

• October 10, 2026: SGB will share Event Day Photos, YouTube Videos and Final Player Emails no later than February 14. We typically have the YouTube game video uploaded in real-time.

TOURNAMENT RULEBOOK

2025-26 SEASON OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULEBOOK

• FORMAT: Four quarters, 10 minutes each.

• TIMEOUTS: Each team has TWO timeouts per half. Each timeout is 60 seconds. Timeouts do NOT carry over from the first half to the second."

• BONUS: The opposing team will shoot two free throws ON the 5th team foul (so after the 4th team foul, the next one will be bonus). There is no 1-and-1 rule.

• STOP CLOCK: Running clock except the last 2 min of the fourth quarter.

• QUARTER BREAK: 1 Min; HALF-TIME BREAK: 3 Min (SGB may adjust the break time in the event of significant delayed)

• OT: 2 min OT is applied with a stop clock.

• SHOT CLOCK: SGB will use a physical 30-second shot clock for all games. The shot clock shall reset to 30 seconds under standard NCAA Women’s Basketball conditions. No 20-second partial reset.

• COACH'S CHALLENGE: Each team will have ONE Coach’s Challenge for ONLY score errors or incorrectly recorded fouls/timeouts. The team cannot challenge anything that is a referee’s judgement call. See below for details.

• READ OFFICIAL JERSEY POLICY BELOW: No taping; the entire team must provide matching, clearly distinguishable light/dark jerseys.
