Each player must be at least 25% Asian (i.e., at least one grandparent must be 100% Asian).
For eligibility concerns, you may email info@shegotbuckets.org anonymously with jersey number + team name before 1PM on Saturday (Day 1 of the tournament)
1. Team Requirements
Each team must declare the division they are participating in the regional tournament, which can be the Elite Division (Competitive level) or the Rising Star Division (Recreational level).
Each team must consist of at least 5 players and no more than 15 players.
Each player can only join one team throughout the tournament.
2. Player Eligibility Requirements The She Got Buckets ("SGB") North American Asian Women's Basketball Tournament is exclusively open to players who meet the following criteria:
2.1 Asian Heritage
To qualify based on Asian heritage:
Each player must be at least 25% Asian (i.e., at least one grandparent must be 100% Asian).
Players with eligibility concerns should contact SGB before the competition begins.
Eligibility is primarily based on self-verification by the player and their team. No pre-game verification will be conducted by SGB.
However, if a challenge is raised by another team or player, the player must cooperate with SGB for verification.
Failure to cooperate will result in the player being considered ineligible.
If a player is found ineligible:
The team's results for the season will be annulled.
Suspensions may be imposed on both the player and the team.
3. Definition and Verification Process
As a nonprofit organization, She Got Buckets (SGB) places the highest importance on protecting personal information and preventing any risk of data leakage. We are committed to using only secure, authorized methods for verifying player eligibility and we ensure that all submitted documents are handled with care and confidentiality. If any document contains sensitive personal details, please redact (cover or block) those details before submission.
If there are legal or privacy concerns about the use of your information for verification, please consider this as your authorization for SGB to request and process your enrollment information strictly for eligibility confirmation purposes related to league participation.
If a challenge is raised regarding the authenticity of a player's verification documents, the player and team must fully cooperate with SGB during the verification process. Any refusal to cooperate or verify submitted documentation will result in the player being deemed ineligible.

EVENT SCHEDULE / TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Day 1: Group Round-Robin StageÂ
Teams will be divided into two groups and will compete in a round-robin format within each group.Â
After each team has completed two matched, group rankings will be confirmed based on Total Wins > Head-to-Head result among tied teams > Points Differential (cap +15 per game) > Total Points > Coin Flip (if still tied).
Each Group's 1st place will become either Seed #1 or Seed #2, depending on the Total Points Differential.
Teams ranked 2nd and 3rd in each group will then be given one cross-group placement match to compete for position.Â
The winning teams will become either Seed #3 or Seed #4, depending on the Total Points Differential.
Day 2: Ranking StageÂ
Based on the initial ranking from Day 1, we have the Seed #1 to Seed #6 team.
5th & 6th Placement: Seed #5 vs Seed #6
Semi-Final: Seed #1 vs Seed #4 ; Seed #2 vs Seed #3
3rd & 4th Placement: Semi Final Losers'Teams

2025-26 SEASON OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULEBOOK
FORMAT: Four quarters, 10 minutes each.
TIMEOUTS: Each team has TWO timeouts per half. Each timeout is 60 seconds. Timeouts do NOT carry over from the first half to the second."
BONUS: The opposing team will shoot two free throws ON the 5th team foul (so after the 4th team foul, the next one will be bonus). There is no 1-and-1 rule.
STOP CLOCK: Running clock except the last 2 min of the fourth quarter.
QUARTER BREAK: 1 Min; HALF-TIME BREAK: 3 Min (SGB may adjust the break time in the event of significant delayed)
OT: 2 min OT is applied with a stop clock.
SHOCK CLOCK: SGB will use a physical 30-second shot clock for all games. The shot clock shall reset to 30 seconds under standard NCAA Women’s Basketball conditions. No 20-second partial reset.
COACH'S CHALLENGE: Each team will have ONE Coach’s Challenge for ONLY score errors or incorrectly recorded fouls/timeouts. The team cannot challenge anything that is a referee’s judgement call. See below for details.
READ OFFICIAL JERSEY POLICY BELOW: No tapping; the entire team must provide matching, clearly distinguishable light/dark jerseys.
